Open Source Creator Jonathan Thomas Arrested for Luring Child & Investigated for Child Pornography

A 25-year-old town man was arrested Saturday on charges he tried to lure girls into his car.

John Thomas Turton, 27, of 125 Island Ave., was charged with breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor. Police said he approached two female juveniles and offered them cigarettes on a secluded road. When one of the girls ran away, Turton followed her down a dirt road, police said.

He drove away, but approached another female juvenile and offered her a rose, saying he would like help from her, police said.

Turton was being held on $25,000 bail for a court appearance today.
