Anderson Silva Retirement Rumors Revealed

As you can tell from the previous fight between Uriah Hall vs. Anderson Silva, it was obvious that Anderson Silva allowed Uriah Hall to win. In fact, when Uriah Hall punched Anderson Silva, you can tell that Silva went down due not by force, but by choice to allow Uriah Hall a chance at greatness in future MMA fights.

Anderson Silva distinguished career on a 16-0 run, which remains the longest winning streak in the history of the UFC, ended his career on a 1-7-0-1 slide when Uriah Hall scored a TKO win over Silva in the main event of Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 39 fight card. The problem is, realistically what are the chances that Anderson Silva, one of the greatest and most versatile fighters would lose 7 matches in a row. Highly unlikely, it is so unprobable that it has been speculated that Dana White is likely trying to ‘throw” Anderson Silva under the bus. Shame on Dana White and shame on the UFC. Anderson Silva has brought stardom to a class of fighters which are viewed by the UFC fan base as being formidable and a versatile mixed traditional martial art including Thai, Tae Kwon Do, etc. It has essentially transcended the UFC to the Asian fan base. In fact, Anderson Silva is likely the most well received fighter in North America to the Asian mixed martial arts fan base. Asians love Anderson due to his use of traditional martial arts including Tae Kwon Do, Thai, Jujitsu, etc.

The real question now becomes, why would Dana white try to throw a legacy like Anderson Silva under the bus?, when Mr. Silva has transcended the UFC towards a fan base which has traditionally only liked Asian-owned MMA organizations like Pride FC, etc. Who knows, the only other UFC, MMA fighter which is well received in Asian is Zhang Weili .

The question of why a fighter would allow another fighter to purposefully win is based on respect and honor. In fact, catapulting a less known fighter into future fights in the octogen by allowing an easy win, essentially helps the career of a younger fighter. Especially when the younger fighter is not talented and versatile as Anderson Silva, respectively.

Shame on Dana White for trying to throw Anderson Silva under the bus, since he has become a fan favorite for Asians and the UFC isn’t as well known as the other Asian MMA organizations overseas.
