Demonstrations throughout Europe get more Violent

On the 25th of June pro-European and federalist movements, civil society organisations and non-affiliated citizens will be joining the March for Europe in Rome calling for a strong, united and democratic Europe that delivers to its citizens, a Europe that fights back against populism and nationalism, a Europe that builds bridges not walls, a Europe able to act.

Pro-European demonstrations – protests, sometimes – are no new phenomenon. The history of the European Union is not only one of European Council meetings and Treaty changes that have progressively created a more integrated Europe. The history of Europe is also one of citizens gathering, demonstrating and protesting, calling on European leaders for more decisive steps forward in the process of European integration.
